Later Gators

A pink flower cookie that Bubby brought home for me Arwyn. As I she was eating it I noticed it had become heart shaped.  Okay, you got me.  He brought home two cookies and I ate them both.  But she hadn’t eaten hers and it was going stale!  There’s nothing sadder than a super sweet sugary bakery cookie going stale in a lonely white paper bag on the kitchen counter.  I had to put it out of it’s misery.

Arwyn and I are heading to Aunt Banana’s house for a few days.  My hometown is in the midst of it’s annual Dogwood Festival and we are hoping to attend some festival activities while we are there.  Carnie food!  Carnies!  Possibly dangerous rides!  A parade!

I hope the sound of me constantly munching ice doesn’t annoy anyone while we are there.  Well, except maybe that one particular nephew.  He deserves some payback in the annoying department.  Maybe I’ll do it right in his ear.  While he’s sleeping.  It’s some sort of strange pregnancy-related affliction or addiction.  I remember doing the same thing when I was pregnant with Arwyn and hoping I wasn’t driving my office mate nuts.  Maybe it will give them something to talk about when I’m gone.  “I thought she’d never leave!  The ice crunching was enough to make me want to gouge my ear drums with an ice pick!”

Happy weekends all around.

You are hilarious. There is nothing sadder than a special treat just set aside anytime and not immediately devoured. And yes, pregnancy makes EVERYONE do crazy things. Have a great holiday!
